MAN Diesel & Turbo’s activities in the power generation and cogeneration sectors are based on an extensive range of diesel engines and a rapidly increasing gas engine portfolio.
In the field of liquid fuel engines, two and four-stroke models with outputs ranging from 450 kW to 80 MW can be operated with heavy and distillate fossil fuels, as well as a growing range of renewable liquid biofuels.
At present, CO2-neutral biofuel engines made by MAN Diesel & Turbo are operating daily on plant oils, including palm and jatropha oil, waste vegetable oil and animal fats.
In the case of gaseous fuel, single and dual-fuel gas engines made by MAN Diesel & Turbo with outputs ranging from 2.3 to 17.55 MW are gaining an increasing share of the global market for power generation and cogeneration systems, using both natural and non-natural gases.
